A tab sticks out past the edge; in-plate puts the hole inside the sign and moves the text out of its way.

0 centres the loop on that edge. It is clamped so the loop always stays on the plate.

A separate block with a slot that leans back, printed flat beside the sign. The slot is sized from the finished sign.

Colours are a preview aid and drive the multi-part export: every distinct colour becomes its own STL for a filament change.

Print plate and content separately

For printers without a filament changer: raised content gets a tab underneath and the plate a matching pocket. Print both in their own colour, then glue the pieces in — the pockets put them in place.

Taken off every side of the tab, so the pocket edge stays hidden under the piece. 0.1–0.2 mm suits most printers; the pocket is 0.1 mm deeper than the tab for glue.
